We did nothing in Biology, just talked about graduation and the other things. English was boring, we talked with the PE teacher, German was nothing,wi sang on Arts and we ate lunch while Headmaster’s was on. I bought a bag in the afternoon. I did my homeworks, I have to read Kosztolányi and I will go to bed early because I’m so tired.
Today’s tipp : !You might be scared when your head starts aching. One of my teachers call it brain-strain. You need time to get used to learning!

Yes, today we began learning, I think. First lesson was History and we wrote a lot about the II. World War, Literature – we wrote a lot about Kosztolányi (he is a Hungarian novellist), Biology – we wrote a lot about nervous system, and Maths – we wrote a lot about the new stuff. Only Informatics was OK because we have a new teacher, her name is Marietta and on the first lesson we could do what we want. (We watched again our pictures about summer. )
A haven’t got homework for tomorrow, but I have to read a novel by Kosztolányi until Friday so I will read after I write this post. I have already checked my Facebook so everything’s alright.
Today’s tipp: !I know it’s hard, but if you get homework one day (for example Maths) if the next day there is no (for example Maths) in your timetable, also do your homework /if you have energy/. I know it isn’t easy but the next day will be easier
. It’s just hard to begin !
What should you do if you want a good first note in any subject?
- You shouldn’t talk with your friends while the lesson is on. Summer was short, I know. But now you have to focus on the teacher.
- You should write down what the teacher says. If you are talking with your friends while the teacher is speaking, you won’t write down what he/she says. It’s more difficult learning home when you aren’t really sure what should you learn.
- Read your books! It can be helpful. If you read the text twice, you will know it twice better!
- Learn regularly! If you want to learn everything right before the test probably the test will be not so good than you want.

Yeah, I had my first day in school. It wasn’t bad but I had a terrible headache at 10 o’clock and it was awful, that there was so hot. I mean, it’s good that the weather is good and it’s sunny, but it’s hot and I always have headache when the weather is hot.
Our headteacher told us all the holidays, and also the graduation days.
My Hungarian exam will be on 3rd May,
my Maths exam will be on 4th May,
my History exam will be on 5th May,
my English exam will be (normally on 6th May, but I want to pass it) in October,
my Biology exam will be on 12th May,
my Chemistry exam will be on 13th May.
There are all the writing exams, there are also oral exams but I don’t know exactly when I must go there yet.

So, that was my first day. We hadn’t got Chemistry today, but the Grammar teacher began with homework, History-nothing, Philosophy was interesting, English was boring a little bit because we had to write only an essay, made a situation and that’s all. Lunch was OK (I eat at school), we also had a mignon.
I came home, copied the grammar because I hadn’t got an exercise book in the morning, I must look trough the literature (Ady) for today and I will be done for today.
!Do your homework recently, there is nothing more awful than have a lot of homework for the weekend and you must learn the whole week in those two days!

I’m in Szombathely, there is the Savaria Carneval. We went today to buy my and my brothers new exercise books and I got a new notebook, finally I found a great one with flowers on it. I wrote a notebook since I was 7 it’s a good way for me to get over my bad days and, you know, “hide my secrets”. Of course I haven’t got secrets
.
I’m still reading The master and Margarita, I have read the half of the book. Maybe I told you before that I had my English language exam on 15th August and after that I’m in trouble with languages because I don’t know what to learn. I’m thinking about Spanish, Chinese or Japanese and yesterday my grandfather told me that he learned Italian in High School and he really loved it. I learn Latin in the school so Italian and Spanish would be quite easy for me, I think.
On the other hand I want to learn in Chinese and also Japanese because it’s so fascinating to me. I love languages that’s all, and after English and German I want to leran something new.
I miss my friends and all my classmates so much and I want to go to school to meet them. One of my best friends is Hajni, I miss her too and next time we’ll see each other, we will watch The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (I have watched this film so many times!!) because it’s one of our favorites and we want to spend a day just watching films before the school starts.
Weird question comes next: Do you learn in summer? Something, anything? Have you got summer homework?
You know I sometimes have remorse because I know that I must practise Chemistry and learn Biology but I don’t do it because it’s summer, you know, and I’m quite lazy sometimes to do anything, just want to enjoy last weeks… That’s my big problem
Am I an eager beaver?
Some people think that I am but a guy told me that at Medical University there’s no way that somebody shout at you : “Eager beaver!” At Medicals… everyone is an eager beaver!
That’s all for today!

Hi everyone, I’m Sára from Hungary. I had an idea to write a blog in English because it’s a good practise to me and I want to tell you all about my last year in Kazinczy Grammar School.
It’s 20th August, so today is the foundation celebration of our country, so Hungary is 1009 years old now.
The summer is almost done and I’m going to have my last year in school. I study at Kazinczy since 2002 and I really love this building, my class and all the people.
I want to be a doctor but I haven’t decided yet what kind of. And I don’t know which university should I go. To Semmelweis (which is in Budapest) or to Pécs.
I will be quite busy on the last two weeks in summe. We will go to my grandmas and relatives, going to have a small holiday too and I have to read the compulsory texts (still reading The master and Margarita) and have to learn biology and chemistry because my teachers gave us a summer homework. On 27th August I have to go to school to have my new books and after that on 1st September it begins… My last year in school (hopefully). It’s so weird by the way, you know, the growning up stuff and all. I’m thinking about my future almost every day a bit and I’ve rarely done this before, never thinking about it so much. But it’s so close now and it scares me but I’m curious too.
I’m going to tell you about my feelings, have-tos and kinda like that the following year. It will be also learning tips and what-should-you-dos.
Hope you will sit next to the computer when I will write my next post. Have a great summer-end!!!
bye S
